How Dreamer works
Four things, once. Then it runs itself
Example, from the app. Not a live account.
- 1
You connect your bank
Through a licensed open-banking provider, so we can see what you spend. We can never move money out of that account. You are redirected to your bank's own sign-in, bank-grade security end to end, and brought straight back to Dreamer. Read-only; disconnect any time.
- 2
You name a dream
What are you saving for? How much, and by when? A dream is a name, a target and a date, in one of eight categories. Choose whether it lives in a Dream Account or a tax-free Dream Account, and what happens when it reaches 100%: keep it invested, or withdraw automatically.
- 3
You pick how it grows
Every fund Dreamer offers is open to you from day one, grouped by how long you have and with every fee shown before you choose. Dreamer categorises; it never recommends, defaults or badges a fund. The choice is yours.
- 4
The change buys into your dream
Every card purchase gets rounded up to the nearest R10, or R2, R5, R20, R50 or R100. Once a week, every Friday, the spare change is collected and invested in the fund attached to the dream you named yourself. A R47.20 coffee becomes R50.00, and R2.80 goes to the dream. It is invested, not parked, so growth can earn growth of its own.

Round-ups
From every card purchase. Collected and invested every Friday, then left to compound. Pausable, cappable, yours to tune.
A recurring amount
Put a fixed amount away on a schedule you choose: every week, every two weeks or every month. You can skip, pause, or stop any time.
A once-off boost
A lump sum from a verified card, straight to a dream or to money market, whenever there is more than usual.

What never changes, whatever the market does
What Dreamer never does
- Hold your money. It sits with a regulated custodian, in your name.
- Move money out of your bank account. The link is read-only.
- Pick a fund for you, or nudge you toward one.
- Hide a fee. Every one is shown before you pay it.
- Trade. There is nothing to time and nothing to watch.
What Dreamer always does
- Collects and invests the week's change every Friday, in one line on your statement.
- Keeps it invested, so growth can compound until you withdraw.
- Tells you plainly whether a dream is on pace, and what would close the gap.
- Shows the period, the manager and the as-at month beside every return.
- Sends a Dream Report every week and a full report every year.
Your money stays yours
Your investments are held with a regulated custodian in your name. Dreamer never holds your money.
